This was an organized post-conference trip to Isla Tiburón on the day after the splendid combined meeting of RENAMAC XVII (Sociedad de Malacología de México) conference on mollusks and the 58th annual meeting of the Western Society of Malacologists (WSM). This is part 2 of 2 for our trip out to Isla Tiburón, a large island off the Sonoran coast in the Sea of Cortez. We had traveled by bus from the university in Hermosillo, where the meetings were held. We were incredibly fortunate to have the welcome participation during the conference of Seri women from Punta Chueca in the vicinity of Isla Tiburón. The Seri are an Indigenous group in Mexico mostly living on the Sonoran coast of the Sea of Cortez, and Seri women and men also participated as guides and much more on this island visit, including getting us to Isla Tiburón and later, near sunset, getting us back safely to Punta Chueca through impressively large waves. See also Part 1 of 2, mostly of various critters on the mainland Sonoran Seri village of Punta Chueca before we rode on a panga to the island. Great day and I loved my traveling companions.

A Vokesimurex ruthae (E. H. Vokes, 1988) shell I found in shallow water - hopefully it is still there on Isla Tiburon with its hermit crab inhabitant, released after taking these images.
