Under Construction!

Public docks at 15th and M streets and Balboa Island, Newport Bay, Orange Co., CA, May 9, 2025

We started today's normal field class at the beach, the last of our semester, instead with a lab exam. Then we went to Newport Bay to view habitats with protection from the surf.	-	-
-	-	We were luckier than the last few years when it seems whoever clears the animals of the public dock had cleared them off just before we have a chance to observe them. This year was good.

-	A highlight on Balboa Island was seeing about 10 Navanax inermis (California aglaja), a large-bodied slug that loves to slurp up other sea slugs.	-
