Hopkins' rose (Okenia rosacea, formerly Hopkinsia rosacea) feeds exclusively on the rosy bryozoan (Integripelta bilabiata) seen here near the nudibranch, which gets its rose color from a pigment, hopkinsiaxanthin, in the bryozoan. Both the nudibranch and the pigment were named after Stanford's Hopkins Marine Station in Pacific Grove, CA.
