This snail has most often been called N. canaliculata compressa but as a subspecies of the revived name, N. analoga (Forbes, 1852) as N. analoga compressa (Dall, 1915) in a 2013 manuscript by the late malacologist, Dr. Jim McLean. More recently, Houart et al. (2019) considered both N. analoga and N. compressa to be distinct from N. canaliculata so this would be N. compressa. - see here
