According to the Aquarium's online brochure, the Aquarium's Queensland grouper came from a hotel in Las Vegas, where it had outgrown its exhibit and needed a new home. It has lived in the Tropical Reef Habitat ever since.

Tentative (this and next three): young purple-striped jelly that doesn't yet have much distinctive striping. Sea jellies in the genus Chrysaora look similar before they get their adult striping. To the north, in the states of Washington and Oregon, one would more likely see the Pacific sea nettle, (Chrysaora fuscescens), whereas C. colorata is more oceanic and mostly south of San Francisco.
