Exhibits at Mérida's regional Museum of Anthropology include a Chacmol from Chichén Itzá, a jaguar throne from Uxmal, funerory offerings, pottery and figurines, from the Mayan inhabitants of the Yucatan peninsula. A few of the artifacts were imported by the Mayans from other regions. |
