Web review project


Objectives

This project should be completed in a series of stages.

Stage one: Select a specific topic relevant to the course and clear your selection with the instructor.

Stage two: Perform a search using appropriate key words using at least two different search engines.

Stage three: Select at least 10 web sites for review. Try to select ones that are likely to get "good" reviews. This means that you will have to visit more than 10 web sites. The criteria for evaluation will include relevance, accuracy, completeness of information, appeal of the site, ease of use of the site, inclusion of figures or illustrations.

Stage four: Prepare an annotated review using the following template:

Name of site

URL

Summary description of site

Evaluation (to include best features and any areas of concern)

quality of its content,
effectiveness as a learning tool to students in this class, and
ease of use

Rating in each of the above areas out of a total of five points in each area
