Licensing and Hosting the Course
WGBH and Clear Blue Sky Productions will issue a free-of-charge license to those institutions that wish to offer the course online using their preferred course hosting and management environments. The html content pages of the course can be downloaded from a password-protected site, and local developers can insert any course management and discussion board code necessary for local use into these pages. All multimedia assets, including video and Web activities, are linked from these pages, so there is no need to host these locally. Any changes to course content must follow disclaimer procedures illustrated in detail within the license. Institutions will receive the names of a WGBH technology staff member, should problems arise when the course is installed.
