Reservations
To Visit the Center

Most of those who make use of the Center are either enrolled in college or university courses which involve some aspect of the desert - courses in archaeology, biology, geography, geology and history, or are engaged in research related to the desert. However, school groups and organized community groups whose activities are desert-oriented can also be accommodated and are welcomed.

Two other brochures are available which provide detailed information for students and group leaders; on what to bring to the Center; available equipment; plant and animal checklists; history; and references for additional information.

Advance Reservations

Advance reservations are necessary, both for those planning to stay overnight and for day-only use. To initiate the reservation process, or to request an application to conduct research at the Center, phone or write:

Fees

CSU individuals and groups are charged $8.00 per day per individual. Non-CSU groups pay $16.00 per day per individual. Commercial activity fees vary and require a permit from the Mojave National Preserve. Setup fees for special equipment or laboratory equipment are negotiable.
