Cruise aboard R/V Yellowfin, Sept. 18, 2002

This large crab had a pair of very sharp lateral spines on the carapace
(Mursia gaudichaudii, the only California member of the mostly tropical
family, Calappidae -- I.D. thanks to Dr. Jody Martin, L.A. Co. Museum of Natural
History)
