Shelter Cove, San Luis Obispo Co., California, March 2, 2003
This sea arch has different species than the nearby reef flat at Shelter Cove, including Lottia digitalis (instead of common Lottia scabra, L. strigatella, L. limatula, and L. scutum on the reef flat), and the southernmost known population of the brooding chiton, Lepidochitona caverna Eernisse, 1986, first found here by Prof. Ee in August, 2002.
