R/V Yellowfin Cruise to Catalina Id. – April 19, 2002

Lepidochitona cryptica (formerly Cyanoplax dentiens cryptica Kues) lives
exclusively on the southern sea palm kelp, Eisenia arborea. This single specimen
constitutes a northern range extension, formerly known only from La Jolla and
more southern localities. This was found very cryptically hidden at the base
of the kelp fronds
by DJE.
