Tonicella lineata, common in the intertidal between Alaska and northern California, less common south of Bodega Bay in central California than its southern intertidal counterpart, Tonicella lokii. Two other "lined chiton" species (T. undocaerulea and T. venusta) are common at subtidal depths in California and were observed in the intertidal at Port Hardy (northeastern Vancouver Id.), but not at Raff Cove.
