I work collaboratively with my students and encourage them to work collaboratively with their peers. In addition, I encourage them to present work at local and national conferences and eventually publish in a peer reviewed journal. I also encourage students to seek outside sources of funding for thier projects. In my time at CSUF, some students from my lab have been recognized for the outstanding research at conferences and published work in Dimensions (a publication that is run by students from the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics that publishes undergraduate research from our campus), and several have resulted in work that is or will be published in a peer reviewed journal.

If you are interested in working in my lab and are an undergraduate or perspective graduate student please contact me (click here to email). When writing me, please let me know what your research interests are and why you'd like to work in my lab. Further information about graduate work in the Department of Biological Science at CSUF is available here.
