The conference organization offers two different accommodation possibilities, both situated close to the Natural History Museum. Reservations will be done through the organization, using the registration form, and no later than April 15, 2003. There are other hotels in the vicinity of the museum that may also offer affordable accommodations. No changes or refunds are allowed after registration.
There are numerous restaurants near the Museum, including the Museum's "Curator's Cafe" (the closest to the conference location), the newly renovated "Mercado La Paloma" that offers a combination of several ethnic restaurants and shops, student and faculty cafeterias in the USC campus, and many other fast-food restaurants in the surrounding neighborhoods. Check this webpage for a complete list of restaurants in the area. Participants staying in the USC accommodations will have the option to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dorms, but many other options (sometimes at better prices) are available outside the campus.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (USC) ACCOMMODATIONS
The USC campus is situated across Exposition Blvd. from the museum. Accommodations are within walking distance of the museum.
All rooms are designed to accommodate two people and are furnished with two extra-long twin beds, study desks, chairs, blinds and a small fridge. Bathrooms are shared, communal and are located in the hallways. Rooms do not have air-conditioning.
Prices $35.00 person/night (sharing a room) $45.00 person/night (one person per room) + taxes
For individuals staying in the USC accommodations, meal tickets can be purchased in advance.

For participants who would like more comfortable and private accommodations, the organization has obtained a special rate with the Radisson Hotel. The 11 story Radisson Midtown Los Angeles recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation. Centrally located within walking distance of the Museum, and only a few minutes away from downtown.
