Your answer C is incorrect. In the original example, Taxon 3 only has one sister taxon: Taxon 2.
In order for Taxon 3 to be considered sister taxon of both Taxon 1 and Taxon 2, these three taxa would need to come together
at Node B (see below). This would make Node B a polytomy and there would no longer be a Node C.
